Grade LKG Community Service

‘'Everybody Can Be Great, Because Anybody Can Serve' - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
14th February, being “Valentine’s Day”, we wished to have our little ones shower their love and affection to the less unfortunate ones. Therefore, the Community Service Cell in our school decided to conduct the ‘Caring and Sharing Week' for the LKG students.
The goal of the community service project was to instill the values of caring and sharing among our children, thereby developing them into more empathetic and sensitive young individuals.
The students of Grade LKG executed their Community Service project in the following manner:

  • 7th February (Wednesday) – A brief introduction of the community service was given to the students of Grade LKG
  • 12th February (Monday): An announcement of the community service programme was made during the pre-primary assembly.
  • 13th February (Tuesday): An announcement was made on the Public Address system to spread awareness in school.
  • 13th February (Tuesday): Students made and put up posters all over the school.
  • 10th to 14th February: Students conducted the project, as per the guidelines, at their homes.
  • 21st February (Wednesday): Students shared their experience through a reflection sheet and the same was displayed around the school.

Student Feedback

  • Vedika Krishnani - I tried to make shrikhand and gave my didis along with some chips.
  • Nyra Bokria - I gave stationary and food to my didi.
  • Viaan Bakliwal – I helped my didi with dusting the house. I also got her favourite chocolates and made her feel special on the Valentine’s Day.
  • Kiaan Engineer – I treated my day helper Manisha didi to a meal at her favourite Dosa restaurant "Cafe Vihar".  We had dosas, utappam, and gulab jamun for dessert.

The students of Grade LKG executed the project with love and affection. It was a great learning experience for them. They were glad to spread happiness.
