It was a proud moment for all members of the Aditya Birla World Academy to witness the Graduation ceremony for the IBDP and A level Class of 2016 held at Swatantraya Veer Savarkar Auditorium on 30th March' 2016 at 3.30 p.m. As the 42 graduates stood before their parents, teachers and mentors in their ensemble the atmosphere was electric and the mood somber. The gathering was cordially welcomed by Ms. Gita Balsekar and Ms. Vandana Kulkarni. The Chairperson, Ms. Neerja Birla addressed the students and complimented them on their successful journey through school. Her message resounded Carpe Diem – seize the day and she hoped that the students would keep dreaming, setting goals and work with their heart at achieving them in all earnestness. Ms. Chanda Kochhar, managing director and chief executive officer of ICICI Bank was the Guest of Honor at the ceremony. In her address Ms. Kochhar helped the students envision the plethora of opportunities that the young growing India held in store for them. She reiterated the need to dream, to set goals and to work hard towards realizing them. The Principal Ms. Radhika Sinha's address to the students was inspiring and momentous as she presented the graduating class of 2016 to the audience. The Head Boy Mst. Anshuman Loyalka administered the pledge to the fellow students and it was an awe-inspiring moment for all the mentors to witness. The IBDP Coordinator Ms. Shalini John and the A level coordinator Ms. Franak Bandekar recounted their experiences with the students and wished them the best for their ventures. The valedictorian speeches were given by Ms. Rhea Poddar and Mst. Mithil Shah and their words brought tears and smiles to the faces of all present. The students were presented with a graduation certificate and they solemnized the occasion by lighting the candles.
