Social Sciences Guest Lecture on the Mechanism of Government Rules and Regulations by Dr. Lalit Surajmal Kanodia

The event was organized by the Social Sciences Club on Thursday, February 26, 2015 in the school auditorium for  the social sciences students. The speaker, Dr. Lalit Surajmal Kanodia, the Chairman of Datamatics Global Services Limited, has  started off  by giving a brief introduction to  the basic functioning of our economic system followed by how government rules and regulations changed over  a period of time and influence economic and business activities.

Dr. Kanodia has taken the talk to the  next level by giving facts and figures about inflation, GDP, employment, power consumption, etc. With simple language  and lucid  real life examples have  made  young audience respond quickly with thoughtful questions.

Pallavi Shenoy of grade 9 – ‘The talk by Dr. Kanodia was truly a great experience. It not only helped enhance our knowledge of India's current economy but also helped us relate what we study in school to real life situations. It was a very informative session and we would be delighted to have more such talks in the future’.

Mithil Shah of grade 11 -  ‘I totally enjoyed the experience, being in the presence of such a learned and intellectual man. He answered the questions we asked him with great precision and by supporting his arguments with examples as well. He explained demand pull and cost push inflation with such ease, it filled me with absolute awe. It was a great event and I feel privileged’.

Ashootoosh Kothari of grade 12- ‘Economics which is so complicated was made so easy by Dr. Kanodia. It was a very proud moment to interact with him.  This guest lecture  empowered our knowledge and understanding of how rules and regulations impact the economic growth’.

Anantveer Kanodia of grade 11 - ‘Dr Kanodia has ignited the thoughts of  young business and economics minds with key statistics and examples’.

The session was ended with questions and answers by the audience.
