The Edutour 2016-17, Grade 4 and 5

The students of grade 4 and 5 visited Deekshabhoomi, the place where Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar accepted Buddhism along with his followers. The students were informed briefly about the historical significance of the place. They then proceeded to Pench where they had an exciting Night Safari. The next day they visited a potters’ village and learnt about pottery and visited the village school. After lunch they enjoyed pottery making. In the afternoon the students went for a safari in which they spotted number of birds and animals. After dinner they watched a film on the Pench National Park. On the third day the children were taken on an early morning safari during which they spotted the elusive tigress and a leopard. In the afternoon the children had nature based activities followed by a tribal dance by the campfire. After dinner they had a DJ party at the resort. On the last day the students and teachers spent time in preparing for departure. They then started on the journey back to Mumbai.
