This year as a part of the green cell activity learners of grade 5 made bird feeders with scrap material. Learners made homemade bird feeders to hang them on the trees and on their balconies. They used simple things like empty tetra packs, scissors, tape and thread to make the feeders. Making homemade bird feeders with scrap materials was a fun craft activity as well as a good way for the learners to get to know which birds were native to their area, and a great way to help out their feathered friends by providing them with food.
Learners enjoyed the process, and were very excited to go back home to fill up their bird feeders with food and hang it in their balconies
