At ABWA, we strongly believe in the holistic development of our entire family. Our students and teachers together strive to create a cohesive learning environment that is conducive to developing a child's innate talents.
Growth outside of academic pursuit is a huge part of life at ABWA. To encourage this, we provide a wide range of extracurricular activities like Book Club , Art, Pottery, Baking, Physical Education, Theatre and Speech & Drama, Dance: Western and Indian, Gymnastics, Yoga, Music: Western and Indian, Skating etc.
At ABWA we believe in service to mankind. Our commitment is to save the environment and make our Planet a better place to live in. To enable this we introduced the Tetra Pak collection drive, the bottle recycling drive and the Batti Bandh Project and more.
Our theme for Green Initiatives at ABWA is sustainable consumption of resources. This involves grassroots level changes to reduce wastage and make a lasting impact on the environment. Secondary School students volunteer as 'Green Leaders' to take charge of eco-projects. Grade 11 and 12 students tackle paper wastage by conducting a book-binding activity to upcycle old notebooks and DIY Competitions which use waste paper for art. The Green Cell also maintains a butterfly garden.
At ABWA, the pastoral care of the students is at the centre of the school's operation. The Counseling department in the school primarily focuses on working with our learners individually and in a group setting to help them develop healthy functional habits.
Sports at ABWA is given equal importance. Our aim is to develop the motor skills, physical well-being, inculcate social values and individual competencies of our students. At ABWA, we follow the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model with an ‘active start’ to ‘training to compete’ through PE, gymnastics, yoga and ECAs in karate, kickboxing, football, basketball, cricket, badminton and horse riding.
We begin student counselling in grade 8 and have specific programs and various orientations right through grade 12 to help them realise the aspects of a good match and the best fit. At school, the counselling team meets the students and their family from time to time to carve a plan keeping the interest, aptitude, attitude and intellectual capacities of the student in mind.
