Exploration meets education

As part of our IB and AS programmes, Grade 11 students participate in a three-week summer internship to gain insight into the working world. Each placement teaches resilience, adaptability and real-world problem-solving. Stepping beyond the familiar, our interns deepen their community empathy, expand cultural understanding and return not only certain of their career path but also more compassionate, open-minded global citizens.

How we open doors to new ideas and cultures

ISMTF

International Schools Mathematics Teachers Foundation

A prestigious platform that nurtures mathematical talent, ISMTF competitions encourage students to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills through individual and team events. As a member of this foundation, ABWA students compete in this internationally recognised event held in various European countries year on year.

NEAMC

North East Asian Mathematics Competition

Held annually across different Asian countries, NEAMC brings together students aged 14–18 for a three-day event celebrating mathematics, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration. ABWA’s Grade 9 and 11 students participate in team challenges and ‘buddy rounds,’ fostering both competition and camaraderie.

CTY

The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth

Designed for academically gifted students, CTY’s summer programmes offer rigorous coursework in a university setting. Students qualify through the SCAT exam and immerse themselves in advanced academic experiences while forming lifelong friendships with like-minded peers. ABWA students consistently perform exceptionally in these programmes.

SIG

Summer Institute for the Gifted

A prestigious non-credit programme by the National Society for the Gifted and Talented, USA, SIG offers high-calibre summer programmes at top universities like Yale, Princeton, and UCLA. ABWA secondary students attend this immersive residential experience, broadening their academic and intellectual horizons.

MUN

Model United Nations

A transformative experience for young leaders, MUN at ABWA is more than just an academic simulation—it’s a platform where students develop diplomacy, public speaking, and negotiation skills. Our students compete at national and international levels, engaging in thought-provoking debates and refining their understanding of global affairs.

CERN

CERN Trip

ABWA students in Grades 10–12 visit CERN, the world’s leading centre for fundamental physics, engineering, and computing. This immersive experience allows them to interact with top researchers, explore cutting-edge discoveries, and gain insights into future academic and career paths.
